“The Caged Bear…”Author: Unknown
“A bear was sighted in Montana,
You know what they say!
When a Wild animal is sighted it’s the first sign of wild attacks. (In this case a Bear.)
Let’s go on,
When a human saw the bear they immediately called the police.
The Police (Wild Animal Control) Got the bear in a cage and the bear was FURIOUS.
The Bear was banging his head against the wall of the steel cage after they caught it.
Then they took it to the Zoo, and still furious banging his head against the wall of the cage When they got to the zoo.
A bit of time goes by and the bear gets hungry, but since he is in the cage it cannot go hunt, so he growls.
After the bear growl it the zookeeper takes it some food. But still furious that he is locked up.
3 Months go by…
The bear is still in the cage growling for it’s food.
6 Months go by…
The bear Keeps growling for it’s food…
1 year goes by...
The bear is no longer banging its head against the wall (There is only so much of the cage on your head that you can take right?) , the fire that it had in its eyes died and don’t shine the way it used to before he was in the cage roaming as a wild animal.
He gets lazy…
Then a friend of the zookeeper goes and sees the bear just laying there in a corner and says, ” That bear is dead, It has no passion. What do you think it would do if we remove the cage?”
“Don’t do it man, This bear is dangerous it will kill you without flinching an eye.”
Next thing you know they remove the cage from the bear and they put some food for it there.
Bear just lays there.
Doesn’t do anything, It walks inside the the area like it there was a cage still there.
The bear now knows that the only thing it has to do is growl and it will get food. So why would he struggle and hunt his food down.
The bear is just there, dying, doing nothing.
and the story ends…”
What Did I Learn From The Story?
Unfortunately, Most people take life the same way,
Just like the Bear.
They are trap insided their own cages...unable to free their mind from themselves, and see that freedom is staring right at them...but they still see the bars.
Would you like to lift your cage and break free? Sometimes success leaves clues...
If you are ready, the cage has just been lifted.
